The Fine Arts collection of the Cleveland Public Library is geared to the needs and interests of a culturally oriented city with a world-renowned symphony orchestra, a prestigious art museum, numerous professional and amateur artists, musicians, artisans and craftsmen, many art-study groups and musical societies, and several art and music schools. The holdings cover a wide spectrum of subjects and treatments, from how-to-do-it books to scholarly studies and classic works.
The Fine Arts print collection consists of materials on the subjects of:
- Architecture, art, art history, art education, studio methods, exhibition catalogs, catalogues raisonnes, interior decoration and art theory;
- Music, music theory, instruction, music history, composition, techniques, music education, scores and sheet music, and information about the music industry;

CD Collection
A large and diverse audio CD collection includes over 18,000 compact discs arranged by type, i.e., Rock, Hip Hop, Jazz & Blues, Country, Folk, Opera, Show, Classical, etc. Refer to the
